Background
This product was developed to help Visa compete with payment acceptance solutions that bypass traditional card networks. We focused on markets where people who sell goods and services at a small scales rely on local fintechs to accept payments. Our goal was to create a product that enabled sellers to quickly start accepting payments, and offers them a pathway to full merchant status with a bank.
ROLE
I was the sole product designer on this project, and was responsible for the work from the initial concept phase, through MVP release. I worked with researchers, product managers, and engineering throughout the process. At various stages throughout the project I presented work to our CPO and regional product directors.

Initially we launched with a “freemium” model. The user can accept a certain volume of payments every month without incurring a fee.
